Meetings Our meetings are held on the first Thursday and, usually on, the third Thursday of each month. The meeting that is held on the first Thursday is at the Gala Club, Fairmile Gardens, Gloucester. It begins at 7.30 pm and is our Business meeting. This is where we consider requests for help and also discuss fund raising activities. The second meeting in the month is a Social meeting and on this occasion our partners and friends are invited to join us. Most of our Social meetings are also held at the Gala Club and start at 7.30pm. On these occasions we have a buffet meal and usually a guest speaker or other form of entertainment. On alternate months our social activity takes to the road and has in the past year involved a trip to theatre, a skittles match, a visit to the Cotswold Gliding Club where members have had the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of gliding followed by a BBQ, Sunday lunch, a game of boules and an evening meal.
